I'm excited to announce that I'm launching a fall Book Club, free and open to anyone who wants to join. We're going to start with a book that I've taught many times and one that I think is essential for future providers to read. The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down is a story based in Merced, CA about an immigrant Hmong family and their experience with healthcare. There are many concepts demonstrated in the book that we'll discuss and name. This will be an excellent way to think and talk about medicine, distract yourself from waiting to hear back about interviews, and be part of a community. Anyone and everyone is welcome to join!
