Now is the time that many applicants begin sending update emails to schools they haven't heard back from. Updates can include:
Getting a new job
A job promotion
Moving to a new state
A Publication
Starting a new volunteer activity
Receiving a new LOR
Wait, what? You can update them on a new LOR at this point?
A lot of people start new jobs in the summer that they're applying and can't ask for a letter of recommendation at that point because they are still too new, but by now, their supervisors sometimes want to support their application and will offer to write a letter. If that happens, go ahead and accept that offer. You can add that person into the application system, and that person can upload their letter directly into the app (or Interfolio). Since the schools are more than likely done screening your app, you can just include in your next interest email that you have an additional LOR in your app that they can review if they wish. This isn't going to prompt a complete re-review of your application, but if they are reviewing your app for an interview, it will be in there. Doing this certainly won't cause any harm, but it does give you something to update them on. I would only recommend doing this once in a cycle.
